Active Layer Linked Objects

I am trying to create an exterior elevation. When I try to link layers to be visible, the roof layer is missing from the list. The pop up says that layers with active linked objects won't be listed. How do I delete them from the desired layers so I can link them into the model elevation view? Thanks!

i am not sure waht you mean by 'link layers to be visible', but i think you should start over. create a new layer for the links, then do your layer link command and select all the layers you want. I would make all the classes visible before linking, just in case. hope this helps

When created the Linked Layers are 'Locked' with little grey handles. Edit>Unlock.. then have your way with them.
