Interiorcad materials and presets default

David E.Labovitz

Question

When I draw a new cabinet (using Cabinet 3D) it has two sides, top and bottom.  But all are of arbitrary thickness, in my case .787 (20mm) .  The same thing happens for cabinet  doors.

1 -- I'm using 18mm plywood.  How do I set a default that will specify .709 (18mm) v. .787 ?

2 -- Cabinet door overlays and offsets are also preset.  How can I change these?

3 -- If I need to reconstruct files, which ones and how?

Thanks,

Dave.

Hi Dave,

I am not sure if my answer is relevant of not, but will give a try.

You might need to set up the Units before builidng up your cabinet library, this will save you lots of time from cabinet adjustments later. I have attached a couple of pictures below:

You need to give one extra decimal number to increae the accuracy.

It's better to save the settings as a template for future jobs.

I hope my answer is helpful.

Regards,

Nap
