ojardnas
Can an object used to crop a viewport be hid, so that it is not visible on a plot? If the class for the object is turned off, the object can't be selected...... Quote Link to comment
Kevin
I normally use a rectangle andI simply set the line attribute to none. The crop is there but does not show up in the viewport. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
In my opinion the ability to crop with sqr, rect, or poly and then make the border lines invisible is one of the most inspired solutions to an otherwise difficult problem. Quote Link to comment
ojardnas
Setting the line attribute none works, but there is still some difficulty selecting the object.... What I'm after is a visible crop that does not plot. ? Quote Link to comment
Delmer
Visible with a nonplot setting in classes or elsewhere would be handy, but not currently available. You can select any visible item in the viewport to select it, it is only when adjusting the crop that you have to search for it. Quote Link to comment
Guest
If you have to adjust the crop, simply marquee around the viewport (to select it) edit it, select crop, and then use Select All to select the crop. Since you are in crop mode, the only object selectable is the crop, and since you can only have one crop per viewport, that's all that will be selected! You can then delete it, or change the pen to another color to see and continue with editing. Quote Link to comment
Pamela dHKa
Either that or just use a white line. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
I'm been setting the line attribute to none and today, for some reason, I'm not able to select the crop in one of my viewports no matter what I do. Quote Link to comment
Travis
You've probably got the crop Class turned off. Or possbly, you've got Class Options set to something other than Show/Snap/Modify Others. Good luck, Quote Link to comment
islandmon
How easy it is to loose track of all the nested twiddles & tweeks : ) I recommend developing strict protocols for every function & action used during the poduction process to avoid opening a file that was created last week or last year or last decade and not having a clue as to how you managed to arrive at the format of the thing. Part of the production progress requires consistent prints to PDF each step of the way. Eventually all VW Users evolve to become like the obsessive-compulsive author in "As Good As It Gets".
