Augment3d plugin

Hey folks!  I just spoke with someone at ETC about the Augment3d plugin for 2022...it should be released by now.  I was told the challenge (not a problem!) was on VW's side.  Can anyone from the Mother Ship speak to this?!

Hi Patrick
I'm afraid what you were told is not correct, its ETC's plugin and they are responsible for maintaining it.
Our dev team is providing them with support but the issue is at their side.

Spoke with ETC, The PC version is ready but they have had some issues with Mac OS (Not Vectorworks). They are working on this at the moment and will post both platform versions once ready.

I think this is out @mjm and working In 2022  I believe.

For Vectorworks 2023 I am not sure if this is the case.

This plugin does not work with 2023. It gives an error ___main___.IncompatibleVectorworksVersionError

Update,

ETC have moved over to MVR as of November. They are no longer updating their plugin.

 

Please be aware that we are not responsible for third party plug ins and please contact the manufacturer directly (In this case ETC).

So; no augment3d plugin for VWX, period. Do I understand correctly?

I just had a quick look on the ETC Augment 3D forum and found the following info from ETC

"Howdy! As mentioned above, with VW2023, we are not developing a plug-in, but instead are using MVR export. For this, you will need VW2023 SP2, and Eos v3.2. Eos v3.2 is going into open beta next week, so keep an eye on these forums to sign up and download the software."

On the subject of argumented reality, I have tried Adobe Aero, and it seems to work with files from VW, TouchCAD, Scaniverse and Keyshot on both the Mac and on iPhone. The picture is from an iPhone.

As Jesse Says above, they have moved to MVR, Augment supports the MVR file format. So you won't need a plugin.
