You could add additional records to hoists if you just wanted to enter the value on the hoist? My colleague @JCodgell might be able to elaborate further. Quote Link to comment

Personally I would use the notes field to document the control cable length if I didn't plan on using the cable tools for this. I'll put an enhancement request to have the parameter added to the hoist object properties. I'm not sure why the "Control Cable Length" parameter is showing up in the plugins manager for you, have you added the legacy hoist tool back into your workspace? that may be why you can see it in the plugins manager. As far as I'm aware there is no way to use the plugins manager to add the parameter into the new hoist objects properties. Quote Link to comment
