Myke
Hello, I have a quick question in hopes of not doing any unnecessary work. I've been playing around in Python with the 3.9 version but want to make sure that VW supports it. From what I've gathered from the developer forum VW 2015 supports 3.4, does anyone know if this has changed in the more recent VW versions? If there is a break down of Python version supported for each VW version I would greatly appreciate that. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
JBenghiat
Vectorworks tends to update to whatever released python version is available at release time. You can check via a script: import sys vs.AlrtDialog(sys.version) 2021 currently runs 3.8.2 2022 runs 3.9.2 2 Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
VW 2019 and 2020 use Python 3.5(.2) (Stay tuned, I tried to find the older version. I am sure that Python 3.3.3 was used but I do not know which VW) 1 Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
- VW 2013 hat no Python yet - VW 2014 had apparently Python 3.3.0 - VW 2015 had Python 3.3.2 - VW 2016 had Python 3.3.2 Sorry, I have no VW 2017 and 2018 at hand to check what they had. 1 Quote Link to comment
Nicolas Goutte
OK, my old Time Machine has still the old versions: - VW 2017 had a Python 3.3 (I suppose 3.3.2) - VW 2018 had already a Python 3.5 (probably 3.5.2) 1 Quote Link to comment
