Read Only State

Question

We are experiencing an issue when trying to access files from your Synology NAS device.  We are running VW2020 and have recently updated our workstations to Big Sur 11.6.2.  A number of workstations are no longer able to open a file without getting the alert "The file is currently in a read-only state (file may be in use by another application).  Do you want to open a copy of it with a new name?"

 

I need to find a solution.  The current option is save local and then drag to file server, then rename.  This is not a solution, this is simply a bandaid.  

 

Where do we go from here?

I have de same problem since I updated tu Big Sur 11.6.3, the Vectorworks assistance didn't gave any real solution, they said it's a server access right problem??, I'm sure it's not.

The only solution they gave me, it's your current option to save local and then drag to file server.

It is very disappointing from vectorworks service.
