Work transferred to an unknown layer?

I've been working on a floor plan for days for a University deadline when suddenly the majority of my Design Layer went transparent, as if it had been moved to a different later. However, it doesn't appear to be in any of the other layers (see image). 

 

I'm beside myself - my work doesn't appear to be anywhere and a draft is due on Monday. 

 

If anyone has any idea what I can do to solve this I would be so grateful.

Check your class visibilities. 
 

if that image is a SLVP, check the class and layer settings in the OIP

Thanks for your quick response - I've realised it's definitely something to do with the visibility tool - how do I check class visibilities?

It looks like I have set the transparent objects to grey mode - how do I switch them back?

Look in the Navigation Palette, Design Layer Tab and Class Tab.

 

Or look in Tools > Organization…. There are tabs there for Design Layers and Classes as well.  

 

There will be 4 Columns.

 

Left is the solid eyeball = visible

next is an X = invisible

next is a grey eyeball = grey

next is a checkmark = Active layer or active class.
