Harold
I have a 44" space between two walls where I need to have a stair. Is there an specific way how to insert it from the toolbar? Everytime I chose the stairs comand, it inserts one with the arrow indicating DOWN and also one of the walls always moves from its original locatino. How can I insert it going up? And also how I am supposed to create the cut line for the treads above 3'6" from floor level? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Try this: first deselect the "wall insertion" mode (in the top left-hand corner of the drawing window, second one in on the left) which will allow you put a stair (or any other object) into your drawing without inserting it into a wall. Then insert your stair. Then modifiy the stair (using the Object Info Palette) however you need to (eg: change arrow from 'down' to 'up', change the width, depth, floor to floor dim's, etc.). Hope that helps. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Cipes is right and make sure that you're in Plan View ! >Creation of the Cut Line @ 3'6" is a little harder and requires that you create a hybrid-symbol and then 'ungroup' the PIO and then twiddle the 2d line & text. Quote Link to comment
