Cbeckwith
All layers and classes are set for modify, but when I click the entire print and group, then move the group on the drawing, it leaves behind stuff on the drawing. It shouldn't do this, can't find an answer. this is 2d drawing Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
i am not sure what you mean by 'print and group'. it sounds like there might be some layers that are different scale than the master layer scale. you will be able to see these layers but not move them. also make sure there are items that are not locked on some layers. you might also want to check to make sure the items that are not moving are actually within the group. hope this helps... Cbeckwith
i am not sure what you mean by 'THE print footprint itself and group'. it sounds like there might be some layers that are different, 1"1000 and 1:2000 scale than the master layer scale. What is the Master Layer Scale? you will be able to see these layers but not move them. also make sure there are items that are not locked on some layers. NO LOCKS you might also want to check to make sure the items that are not moving are actually within the group. hope this helps. Items are within the group. Quote Link to comment
Cbeckwith
Let me see if I can paint the picture better: a. I have a drawing that is in the middle of an 11x17 drawing page. when I select all and then make it a group, this is fine, all Layers and classes are in Modify mode. When I select the group and move the group to the left on the paper, it leaves stuff in the middle of the page. There are no locks on any layer. So I cant figure out what to do now. Hope this is better. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
are you trying to group items across several layers? Quote Link to comment
MikeB
Make sure none of your layers are in a 3-D view, if some are in a 3-D view, the "Show Snap Modify" setting won't work on any of those layers. Also just FYI if you group things across layers all of the objects will be moved to the current active layer. Good Luck [ 03-28-2005, 04:13 PM: Message edited by: MikeB ] Quote Link to comment
