Twice this morning working in a small residential project.
First time while switching from a Renderworks render to Hidden Line---just flat crashed.
Second time the bouncing ball that didn't resolve after 30 minutes, so I force quit. That time I was making a Viewport of a simple line elevation. Same file.

I have 40g of ram--so it isn't memory.
