This seems to be confined to one file. I cannot subtract solids for some of the objects in the file. I'm trying to understand why. In fact, all of the solid operation commands are grayed out. I have different layers and different classes. I thought maybe that was the reason so I assigned the same layer and same class to the offending objects and tried to subtract. Nope, still grayed out. But if I move all of the objects to a new document, then I can subtract solids. The classes transfer, but the layers don't. I don't know if that means it's something to do with the layers.
