fsung
I'm trying to create a DTM using 3D triangles in Architect 11 on a 2.0 GHZ G5 Dual w/1.5 Gb RAM running OS X 10.3.7. So far, the thing has been running over 4-1/2 hours, with no end in sight. Out of sheer frustration, I fired Architect 10.5 on my 500 MHz G3 iBook with 384 Mb RAM running OS 9.1, because I remembered creating far larger, far more complex site models on it in the past in fairly short order, copied the file over, and created the DTM. Time to complete: under 2 minutes. THAT IS RIDICULOUS. Will someone explain to me why it's taking a 2.0 GHz G5 Dual with 4 times the RAM over 140x longer to process the same file as a 500 Mhz G3 iBook? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted February 23, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 23, 2005 I can't -- this doesn't sound right. Please email me the (pre-DTM source data) file so I can look at it. randerson@nemetschek.net Quote Link to comment
