Bogdan Ciocan
I find the cable tools to be very good thought-out but there are stil bugs. I'm trying to get the distributors output with a data tag / within a table but there is data only in #DistributorObject#.#Output1# stored and it change to the last connected table. Is this a bug? Can one also get the names of the Outputs? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted December 2, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 2, 2021 What service pack are you running? This was at least partially fixed in SP2, it will now correctly show data from the lighting device connected on each output. However there is a related issue, where if there multiple devices on the output, it only displays the data from the most recently connected lighting device. This is being worked on. Bogdan Ciocan
In Germany, we have SP1.1 R1. Tto my knowledge SP2 isn't issued. This will be good to show which outlet is already connected and the correspondent cable. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted December 2, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 2, 2021 If you are using a report or worksheet the cable run ID of a cable connected to an input or output can be displayed using the 'Output *' where the '*' is the number of the output. It is important to note that if the cable object doesn't have a cable run ID then nothing will display in the field in a worksheet or data tag when using this crteria Quote Link to comment
Bogdan Ciocan
This is a preview of what i'm trying to achieve. As i earlier mention, is it possible to get the information from Input, Outputs with Data tag or with a worksheet? The respective Records are available but there is no data. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted December 2, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 2, 2021 This is possible in sp2 (International English version) build number 622317, which was released last week. I'm not sure when ComputerWorks will release the German version sp2, but I expect it will be fairly soon. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee jcogdell Posted December 2, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 2, 2021 Ah right you mean directly from the electrical components themselves. No, you can only access the data of the Distributor object itself not the electrical components inside it. This is normal behavior in Vectorworks, unless the top level parametric object has been specifically engineered to allow a particular data record or parameter from other objects contained inside of it to be visible to a data tag or report. What specific data from the input or output components do you require? With this I can make an enhancement request to have this revealed for data tags and reports. Quote Link to comment
