carpalmer
XP, VW11.01 Keynotes seem like an effective tool, until it gets REALLY slow. Takes forever for the type in window to show up and then to go away for the nect one, which turns the tool into ineffective... Also some of the leaders shift once you've drawn them, and are displaced vertically upwards relative to the text/ keynote. Bug? Any comments from anyone using it? Quote Link to comment
Guest
You should probably send a copy of the document to tech support, so they can have a look at it, assuming that this is reproducable behavior. I did tests with several dozen keynotes in the same layer, and didn't see any slow down, but perhaps my documents were not the same as yours. Is anybody else seeing this? Is anybody else seeing the problem with the leaders shifting? Quote Link to comment
carpalmer
Charles: Thanks for your reply. For the record I've put my keynotes on the "annotation" section of the viewport, could that be the problem? Where do I send my file? Quote Link to comment
carpalmer
Travis: Just saw your post on General Discussion. I thought I had sent my file in for review, but checked my sent items and could not find a record of it. Will send it tomorrow. Did you have a slow issue as well when using the tool? I have been VERY hesitant in using this tool since I've spent lots of time correcting the leaders, and handed out drawings with quircky leaders... Hope it can be corrected soon, since it would be a great tool if it worked... Quote Link to comment
Travis
I have no speed issues whatsoever. Just the "jumping" leader lines. . .which I've addressed in the other thread. Quote Link to comment
Travis
I just opened a file I worked on last week to find every Keynote leader shifted. Did we ever get any joy on this issue? Quote Link to comment
Robert Anderson
Travis, do your leader lines jump after a drawing change? Changing the scale of a layer for instance? Quote Link to comment
Travis
Nope. Since I only use Keynotes in a Viewport, I'm through with scale changes by then. I noticed them out of place when I relaunched the file after a day or two away, but the file I had problems with yesterday seems fine upon opening this morning. I'll watch more closely to see if I can find a pattern and report back. Quote Link to comment
