Startup Document Settings - Changed to Imperial

Abbas Parpia

Question

Hi,

Hope someone can help need some help, i recently downloaded Vectorworks 2022 which was fine. However couple of days ago it told me to update to the new service pack 2 and which i did however since then its just the start up is really bugging me because it defaults to imperial dimensions and its just takes time to go change the setting every single time opening it up.

Does any one know how this can be solved via active settings or anything or is it a bug on the service pack?

Hardware: Macbook Pro - M1 Max

Many Thanks

Abbas

If you are talking about a new blank document, try this.

Open a new blank document. Set it up the way you want your default to be (units, scale, view, layers, classes, viewports, etc.) and then Save as Template and give it a name of Default.sta and place it in your User or Workgroup or Application folder in Libraries:Defaults:Templates and restart VW.

The next time you create a new blank document is should use the settings in Default.STA with the newly created file.
