Rotate View In Viewport Annotation

Jonathan_

Question

I often have contained areas that need constrained dimensioning, but they lie at irregular angles in relation to the overall viewport. It would make life a lot easier to be able to rotate the view in an annotation layer to add constrained dimensions that relate to a different x/y direction, as is possible in design layers.

Thanks!

Perhaps you can post an example of what you would like to do, pretty sure the existing tools will do the job.

If it is what I imagine you are interested in, you can use unconstrained dimensions in conjunction with smart point snaps to lay down dimensions that look like constrained dimensions, but rotated.  This is especially useful in the baseline mode for laying out irregular hardscape dimensions, such as curvilinear hardscapes with centerpoints that are all over the place 🙂
