Formatting Linked Text

I would like to show a device's rack/Unit/Slot as "Rack#.Unit#.Slot#", but only show the "." before the slot number if it is a modular device. Currently I have three separate linked text fields with plain text periods in between them, and I don't like having the extra period on every device in the drawing just so that a handfull of cards' locations can be formatted correctly.

Hello @Ian5100,

Unfortunately, the linked text is designed only to report data from records and does not support logical operations. What you can do is that you can use additional record field for the last "." and set it to be empty when the device is not modular. A more advanced and automatic way to achieve this would be to use the Data Manager and set a mapping for this field to be "." when the device is modular and "" when it is not. (I think that this should be possible)
