Ian5100 Posted October 12, 2021 Share Posted October 12, 2021 I am trying to create a new numbering system to match my company's standard. Whenever I finish and hit "OK", I get a popup saying "Number systems file not updated." Then when I open the settings again, all of my changes to the Numbering tab have vanished. Has anyone else encountered this? P.S. I am in v2021 on a Windows machine. Quote Link to comment

Once I attempted to edit the "Numbering" XML file in the "connectCAD_Data" folder and had to enter admin credentials in order to save the changes that I made, I was able to successfully edit numbering systems within the program. Hello @Ian5100, Correct. This message would appear if your numbering system file is not writable. You have made your file writable and that is why everything works as expected now.
