Updated Roadmap Topic

I've noticed a huge update on the roadmap this week (compared to the roadmap update after the VW2022 release). Perhaps it's nice to have a dedicated topic to discuss any changes we notice in the roadmap? I've marked the latest changes I noticed, let me know If I missed one.

Personally I think it's awesome that working with pointclouds get's some attention. Integration of Pointfuse sounds awesome! Also there seems to be a lot of development with the Nomad and web platform. Direct editing of Parametric objects sounds exactly what I was waiting for. Hope this will let us use the reshape tool for reshaping window objects. This will help the design workflow a lot.

I agree improvements to point cloud workflow/performance would be great I have been talking to VW about some of the issues I've been having so gratifying to see that on there thanks for sharing

When you click on a roadmap item, you can vote on whether it's critical, important, or nice to have.  Funny that they don't have a way to vote that you think something is not needed at all.  For example, how many users have any interest for development resources be used for a new startup screen before every other item is addressed?

As a license owner, I’ve never received a communication from Vectorworks asking for my input on anything.  I’m sure that’s by design and why we see the things we do.  If in-house talent, design summit attendees, and randos from the internet are the main influencers on the software, it’s no wonder things sit where they do.  

Further, when paying clients can’t get resolution to tech support issues for months to years on end, like those linked in my signature, one really starts to question what motivates the company.

I don't know to what extent but it's worth bearing in mind that this forum is not necessarily representative of Vectorworks' market. How many Japanese people are on here for instance?

IMHO nice to have, but personal I would prefer improvement to the UX witch we use each day. Workspace Editor is only used at the first setup of VW.

I really wish that adding the transform dragger/widget to more contexts was under the "Active Development" or "Scheduled" categories... but at least it's great to FINALLY see some acknowledgment from Vectorworks that this is a needed improvement. Vectorworks is still a decade behind in being able to "work" comfortably in 3D. As it stands I still find myself having to go to orthographic views to do a LOT of my work. A 3D widget needs to be integrated ASAP.
