andrewt
Howdy, all - new user here. In fact, this is the first time I've actually tried to test out my new software, and I seem to be having a problem. I open Architect, fresh, new drawing, document setup: okay, but when I select File>Setup>Model Setup, I get an Alert that says, "There was a problem with the LayerNameStds worksheet. This procedure cannot run without it." What gives? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted September 11, 2004 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted September 11, 2004 This sounds like a bad installation. There should be an installed file, [VW folder]/Plug-ins/Commmon/Dat/VA Setup Data.mcd Check that you have this file. Quote Link to comment
andrewt
Okay, I have this file installed where it should be. Do I need to do something with it? For what it's worth, I'm running VW 11.0.1 on a slot-loading iMac DV 450mhz. The program appears to be running fine otherwise. Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
if you get the model setup to then open your layer setup dialog and check the layers and heights that it makes. I believe that it makes too many layers and some of these can be replaced with classes. for example, roof layer could be replaced with a roof class so that the roof can stay in the same layer as the walls, but be turned on or off with classes. I like using a few layers and lots of classes. to make my drawings. Quote Link to comment
