sambaVector
Following [a question asked 4 years ago]( ) i wonder, wether this is still now possible. I have one object, that has been cut by another object into three parts. I only need one of the three parts, but I am not able to separate these disconnected parts and delete two of them. Is this possible? Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Often wished I could do this via ungroup or other process. In some cases the OIP Reverse option will provide the opposite sub element. Work with a duplicate, convert to Generic Solids. Repeat with original. One workaround is to modify the initial cutting object so that it blocks out everything except the keeper.. Or for existing multi part object, make a subsequent cut with a blockout object. Can be based on the initial cutting object. Not very efficient or satisfying, especially if repeated on duplicates to capture each of the sub objects -B Quote Link to comment
