Site modelling issues

Hi,

I'm a totally new vectorworks user, until now I've been using allplan. I have couple of questions regarding site modeling. Sorry for my english!

1.

I spent couple days to figure out how to correct the site model if it doesn't generates the correct slope (contours) form.

I have site survey with enough data, but VW doesn't draw a straight slope edge where it should be, but a zigzag. In allplan I could draw a line which showed where I want to put the edge between the slope and the flat surface.

I tried to edit the existing contour lines but it takes hours to correct them one by one.

I tried to use the grade tool, which worked quite well, but in a VW video the instructor told that we shouldn't use site modifiers for the existing site.

So whats the best way  I can  correct the slope edges on the existing site model?

2.

Is there a way I can modify the x and y coordinates of the site model points? In scupting mode I could change only the Z.

Is there a way to make the triangles and the verticies of the site model visible in top view?

3.

Sometimes I have to work with more earthworks phases:  existing site- phase1- phase2- phase3-...

I thought I'll make separate layers with surface modifiers for the different phases .

But how can I create drawings and calculations for the earthwork between 1nd and 2rd phase? How can I tell VW that  the phase1 should be the existing site (which one was the proposed before) instead of the original existing?

Should I create a snapshot for each phase? Is it for that purpose?

4.

I was noticed that there are some site modifier conflicts, but I couldn't find the yellow rectangles in the drawing. How can that happen?

Thank you for your help!
