Attach a Record Format field to a specific position in a symbols text object (text before ... record format field ... text after)

The subject pretty much sums up my question. When I insert a record format field in my symbols text object it then erases the text before and makes the entire text object the record format field.

 

Is there a way to keep the default text at the beginning/end and insert the record format field in the middle. I need it to just be a number for my criteria report.

 

default text will be, "Type of." , record format text will be just a number like, 2. Then it will read "Type of. 2." I can then extract just the 2 for my criteria report.

 

Any help will be appreciated.

You will need two text blocks. One without a record (Type of) and then the text block with the record.
