Ramon PG
I see that some Resource Manager "Favorite" items are in the User Folder that I created, but some are in the Vectorworks 2021 application folder. Is this OK? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Can you send a screen shot of what is in which folder? From a usage standpoint it should not matter, but if for some reason you have to reinstall VW, the items in that application folder are subject to being changed or deleted. Does not usually happen, but it could. The User folder is the safer place as VW understands that you get full control of the user folder. Also, it would be good it you would update your signature with your correct version. Quote Link to comment
Ramon PG
Thanks for the reply, Pat. My "Favorite" folder is populated with my files. So, seems OK. Seems I cleared things up. The App Folder: My User Folder: 1 Quote Link to comment
shorter
Don’t use the user folder as that can also be deleted when uninstalling or when troubleshooting. (Sorry, @Pat Stanford) best to make use of he ‘workgroup folder’ setting instead. 1 Quote Link to comment

But when you uninstall Vectorworks (eg for troubleshooting) it asks if you want to trash the user folder or if trashing the user folder (eg for troubleshooting) is necessary or if the IT department decide to wipe your workstation without telling you... Workgroup folder is best and if you use Dropbox for the WGF you can access the Favorites from anywhere. 1 Quote Link to comment
