Hardware Catalogue/Record?

Hello,

 

I am new to VW and am wondering is there a way to (or how do people do) catalogue/record all hardware, (screws, handles, etc...) used on a job?

 

I want to be able to do this so that for any given item I'll know when there's only X amount left and I have to buy more.
