Allow numeric keypad entry for instant data bar activation

After a few years of this option remaining on, it has suddenly decided to be set to off - every morning it catches me out and I have to turn it on again. How can I save this as a preference?

 

I am running VW 2021 SP4

I regularly lose the Num Direct Setting too, since years.

 

Mainly this, from Quick Settings,

but also my Top Bar Settings.

Like "Render Large" switches back to small version,

Layer Scale deactivates and such things.

 

It is not after every VW Restart or Roboot.

 

As today it is still there as I reset it yesterday.

Maybe it helps to make it a few days longer reliable when I also

do some changes in VW Prefs and or Snapping Prefs.

Which I did yesterday too.

If you are on a Windows computer, there is a key called “Num Lock” that toggles the functionality of the numeric keypad from numeric input to 3D view modes and back.

The nice thing in VW for me is,

as long as it "allow direct numeric input" stays activated,

that the Num Block automatically does exactly what I need.

Navigate Views when no numeric input required but

Numeric Input whenever a Tool or Command needs it.

 

That works great for me and feels very Apple-like.

It got me again.

 

It's like it's saying "Happy Monday, love from Vectorworks".
