Eamonn
Hi, I am wondering if it's possible to save my palette positions over all Workspaces in Vectorworks2021? I'm trying to setup a standard layout no matter what workspace I'm in. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Unfortunately no. You will have to switch between workspaces and set them up individually to be the same. Quote Link to comment
Eamonn
After completing the first palette position layout. Can it be saved as a template and then copied over to the other workspaces?.. or something along those lines. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
The answer to your second question is the same. Unfortunately no. You will have to switch between workspaces and set them up individually to be the same. Quote Link to comment
scottmoore
Can one lock your palettes in position? It’s so annoying when your are in a hurry and inadvertently undock or dock a palette. You have to stop and clean up your mess. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
No. There is not way to lock positions. And if you quit VW (and if exists successfully without a crash), it will save the last palette positions and return them to that position when you next open VW. If you are on a Mac, you might be able to create an AppleScript that will put them all back to your preferred positions. Quote Link to comment
scottmoore
“….might be able to create an Apple script…” You are assuming I am much smarter than I actually am! If there isn’t a button I can check, I am pretty much lost. By the way, I am a big fan of all your posts Pat. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Send me one of your workspaces and I will take a look at what I can do about an AppleScript. Thanks for the kind words. Quote Link to comment
