trashcan
Sometimes when I make a wall projection it becomes a seamless feature to the wall, other times, it does not. I'm curious why it's happening that way. I've tried overlapping the shapes, I've tried not overlapping those shapes. Quote Link to comment
0 zoomer
I am used to that such Features are problematic in general, when placed near Wall Ends. Just assumptions, but, AFAIK a Wall Length ends at the end of its middle line. Like if you spread a Wall between two other Walls in T-Connection, it will have nevertheless a total Lengh of : expected Wall Length (between Walls) + 1/2 Wall Thickness of Wall A + 1/2 Wall Thickness of Wall B. So everything Feature beyond the Wall's middle line is illegal. And you can't overlap separate Features of two Walls where they connect. It may always have a separating line against the other Wall. But I do not really get the problem of the middle Feature in the long Wall below. Are these 2 Features touching each other, or, are there separate 2 Walls with different thickness, left side of the feature ? Quote Link to comment
0 trashcan
In all of these cases, the wall projection functions properly. It is connected to the wall, is the right height, etc. What's confusing to me is in the top/plan or top view why it shows a seam. The other place where wall projections just don't seem to work at all is when the projection is at the corner of a wall. It will add the wall projection and then move it somewhere else, which is incredibly annoying. The tool seems buggy in general. A wall that has both a recess and a projection also functions in a way that doesn't seem quite right. Quote Link to comment

But then you will no more be able to connect that end with another Wall 😉 And not sure about unwanted separation Lines (in general) Maybe there is any trick with "blend Materials in Sections" or such, that you will often see in OIP for certain Elements (?) 0 cberg
I agree with @zoomer that wall projections are not very good and there are problems at corners. @trashcan Not sure if your question was answered. If the feature component is the object, then a line appears. If the feature component is the wall, then it merges with the wall in plan 2d. There's a dialogue box to control this.
