Renderworks Textures do not display on default VW cabinetry.

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Has anyone else run into the issue of Renderworks Textures not displaying on the default VW cabinetry?  Screenshot attached.

For the selected cabinet, the texture does not show.  Note that the upper cabinets do have a texture applied but that was after I ungrouped them - making subsequent changes to the cabinets too cumbersome.  I also tried applying a 'Class Texture' - same results.

Has anyone found a work around?  Am I missing something?

Best,

Garrett

First thought.

Just assigning a Texture to a Class may not be enough.

The Class also needs "use Class Attributes" activated and

you may want to check if all geometries Attributes are set

to "by Class" - not by object.

But Cabinetry are PIOs,

don't they have options to apply Classes for different parts,

like each part of Stairs or Windows ?

Thanks Zoomer - your last statement regarding applying classes for different parts did the trick.  In the object info pallet there is a dropdown for 'cabinet' and 'doors' - this has to be assigned the appropriate class and then the class texture works - see attached image.

I think this workflow is a little illogical - we are already setting the overall class for the cabinet, so VW should automatically assign this to the Cabinets and Doors (it seems like a simple if/then statement would accomplish this).  Also, our projects never have different colored cabinets and doors.

Thanks for your insight.
