CMarshall922
Hello All, I am currently doing a clean up of a light plot for a production. The designer sent me his plot that has lots of data that I do not need in the final plot (Classes, Layers etc.) So I am referencing their file and redrawing over it only the details I need. The problem I am having is the reference viewport even tho all classes and all layers are full visibility the instruments are not showing up on the layer. Has anyone had this issue before or know a work around? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
Are you sure the Classes and Layers are visible both in the Navigation palette and also under the Viewport Layers... and Classes... buttons? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee TomWhiteLight Posted July 20, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 20, 2021 Instead of referencing you could try importing just the layers that you need. In the layers tab of the organisation window select new layer then choose the file you wish to import the layer from. Be sure to check import layer objects and click OK. I tend to reference any source geometry/venue outlines. IMO Anything with Data I prefer to have it in the actual file just in case (you don't have to do this). If you are referencing be sure to check the cache option in the referencing preferences. 1 Quote Link to comment
