Plant symbol dissapears when copied and pasted ?

I had a vw10 drawing that I converted to 11, all looked fine and the plants were intact.

I have then copied hundreds the plants in the vw11 drawing and pasted them into another vw 11 drawing but only the tags and the small x in the middle of the symbol shows up.

I know the plant symbol is made up of 2 parts and I have made sure both the none class and the class the plants are in are turned on in both drawings.

What have I done wrong please ?

I can copy and paste all the plants in the same drawing OK but when I try to paste them in the new VW11 drawing no symbols appear.

I have no symbols even when I copy and paste into a new blank vw11 drawing

1. Check your class visibility options. It should not be "active only".

2. Do the symbols have internal classing? Make sure all the internal classes (if any) are turned on.

3. What is the fill and line style assigned to the plants?
