Bob Levin
Is there a "create walls from polygon tool" in VW Architect 10.5? I'm trying to create walls from a rectangle or a polygon. I can't seem to find it. Bob L. Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Bob, First, do you have the "Architect" add-on? Second, what workspace is active? Try changing it to "Architect" (if it isn't already set to that). Third, you can add TOOLS or MENU ITEMS to your workspace, and even creatr your own custom workspace, via the WORKSPACE EDITOR. Go to FILE>WORKSPACES>WORKSPACE EDITOR Have Fun! Peter Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted November 22, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted November 22, 2003 This command is not installed by default in VectorWorks Architect because there is a more flexible and powerful command in VWA that is called "Objects from Polyline". This commmand lets you create walls, windowwalls, handrails, or guardrails from a polyline, that can include any kind of vertex. It then approximates a curve of any kind as radii and draws a series of walls. Quote Link to comment

mark becker
I'm not sure if this is the same issue, but what I would like to be able to do is create a wall in plan view only, and ultimately be able to apply a fill, from four lines. How do I do that? Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
Hi Mark, you'll need to be a little more clear. I'm not sure what you are asking... However. you can add any fill pattern, color fill or hatch to any wall you want. Or you can go edit your wall types to add wall cavities, and then each cavitie can have it's own fill/color/hatch.
