VW14 on Windows10pro

Hi, i have an VectorWorks14 version with dongle, that works out fine for my kind of work. Now i switched from apple to windows 10 pro and would like to setup the same Version on windows that i can use with my dongle... is the vectorworks14 version downloadable somewhere? please help/suggestions as i'm not very fond of technical things on windows!!!

I don't think you're going to have a lot of luck.  Windows 10 didn't even exist in 2014 🙂 .

Actually, VW2014 shows as compatible with Win10. @michaelk you are just too used to the Mac side where backwards compatibility is an afterthought at best.  ;-)

 

I think you will have to contact Customer Support for VW directly to get a download link for VW2014 for Windows. (410) 290-5114

You're right about Mac backwards compatibility!  

 

This is testing my memory,but didn't VW back then require a very specific version of Quicktime to run on Windows.   And Quicktime, made by Apple, has since been deprecated.

 

I could be totally wrong about the years, but I recall a lot of issues with getting the exact legacy version of Quicktime to install in Windows machines.

I think you are correct. I don't know how to get around the Quicktime issues, but I do know that 2014 is marked at compatible with Win 10.
