zero
So I use the remove wall break tool, then try and do a simple t-join. It takes 12 seconds to excute ($0.2 charged out to client), and I don't get a clean join. One wall gets a 45 degree bevel, the other wall gets a 90 degree end. Anyone have any ideas? win2k pro, matrox g450 (driver about jan03), p3 550, 256 ram, vwa10.1 Quote Link to comment
CipesDesign
I also get some very odd results with wall joins in VW 10.1 on a Mac with OS 10.2.4. When auto join is selected sometimes a wall will fly off the page to join to a wall in another county. Three- and four-way joins of walls with varying thickness & angles seem to be impossible. This would be a very nice feature and I hope you guys & girls (at NNA) are working on ways to make it work better. Peter Quote Link to comment

WBarlow
Newbie here..Yea, my fingers are already tired of adding walls, then going through the clean-up process a number of times for each juncture. In my preferences, I set up that I wanted my walls to auto-join. Seems to ignore that most of the time, especially when starting off a new wall from an existing one. Also have had those "flying off to nowhere walls" occuring. ...after using ADT for 3 years, I'm not sure if VW is going to come close in the ease of using so-called intelligent architectural objects. Robert Anderson
WBarlow, are you using VW or VWA? Can you send me a test file illustrating the problems you are having? Email to randerson@nemetschek.net Quote Link to comment
Robert Anderson
Also, your walls should have some fill (i recommend white solid) so the program can "pick" them. This can cause lack of auto-join. Quote Link to comment
jnr
I might as well throw in my two cents as well. I've also had walls to infinity appear when I add/remove windows, doors or heal a wall. This problem has been around since 9.0 hell. At least I now know its not just me. Quote Link to comment
