JR Merrick AIA
Please add a font palette. This could be part of the graphics palette or at least a menue bar indication of the font and palette size in use. VW 10 CTR-SH-T is a great improvement but the information should be visible in advance of typing. Also the font palette should be able to be loaded with a set of 6-10 preferred fonts so that all 150 are not displayed when selecting fonts. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted March 1, 2003 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 1, 2003 You might want to post this to the general VectorWorks list as a wish list item, since this particular forum is focused on ARCHITECT-specific issues. Quote Link to comment
jfmarch
There are 2 ways to select fonts/size/style/etc: the Option/Shift/T in Mac or the Fonts in the command menu. The Fonts dialog box is a real improvement for controlling the type in the file, i think. Both work ok for us. To control the amount of fonts visible on your system you can use a product like Adobe Type Manager (ATM). ATM is good because you can group the system fonts into "visible" or not folders for projects or applications globally. I'm sure you can get a verison for Windows too. Hope this helps. JR Merrick AIA
Thanks for your comments. I am asking for something that provides ongoing onscreen feedback about the font size and type without having to break the train of thought- and without third party software. Quote Link to comment
