Viewport to Design layer not going to view

When I go to "Edit Viewport" anmd click "Design layer" option instead of taking me to the image on the Design Layer it takes me to teh centre of teh Design layer page - is there a means to change it so it goes to the image as seen on the Viewport (as it used to!) ?

Make sure you have the Display Using Viewport Attributes set. If you don't you will get the entire design layer.

 

Right click on a viewport. Choose Edit. In the Edit Viewport dialog box choose Design Layer and make sure Display using Viewport Attributes is checked.  This will now be the default until you change it again even if you have viewports set to Edit Design Layer by double click or choose Edit Design Layer from the right click menu.
