Lynda
Is it possible to have a 3d view of a DTM that doesn't show all of the connecting polygon lines? Ideally I'd like to just show the surface lines. I'd like to be able to produce a view of the 3D model in wire frame with other elements in place. The connecting lines make this impossible. Your previuos input has been invaluable. Thanks to all. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Robert Anderson Posted April 11, 2005 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 11, 2005 To answer your question, yes. 3D DTMs may be viewed as 3D contour lines or 3D extruded contours as well as 3D "triangles". Quote Link to comment
Lynda
Thanks Robert, I've tried to do this but everytime I try and update the DTM the program crashes. I know I have too many vectors but, as I've managed to create an acceptable DTM from my polylines, I don't really want to have to recreate it from fresh. Is there anyway I can change the view of the existing 3d model for the dtm without doing an update? Lynda Quote Link to comment
