Rishie
Hi, I'm creating a fence from a line and I want the line to be on the left edge on the fence. i.e, the fence should be inside the line touching it at the left side of the fence. Is there a way to achieve it while creating the fence from "objects from shapes command". Also how the offset works here, I've tried all the offset command but the objects is place exactly on the line, I don't think the offset command performs here. Can anyone here me with this? 1 Quote Link to comment
Tom W.
I always wondered about this too but never got around to asking the question. It has never worked for me - the railing/fence is always on the centreline whether offset left or right or you enter a custom offset. 1 Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Can you offset the source line? Prior to the Create Objects command, So that ctr of fence is placed correctly. 2 Quote Link to comment

Yes you can manually offset the path yourself before running the command if you know the width of the fence/railing but be good if the auto-offset worked given it's there as an option... like with Walls 2 Quote Link to comment
