thinkingpencil
Just sharing a work flow many will know. But less experienced colleagues maybe not. And there may be an easier way? And I could have used the stair stool to create a circular stair. But this stair is irregular and I wanted to try using new tools. (I don't like "spiral" stairs. Because they seem a design-cliche` to me. But a paying client wants one!) So I modelled something like it using the loft surface tool (LST). In birail sweep mode. Workflow :- Draw balustrade members. NURBS tool to draw a curve across their tops. Duplicate it. Lowered one by the depth of my handrail section. NURBS tool again to draw the handrail section. Then the LST. The online video via Help is useful. Fun! 1 Quote Link to comment
