CAD conversion
How do you link the crop boundary of a viewport to other viewports? I have 10 GA plans that I've setup but each of their crop boundaries are not the same dimension due to the screen plane rectangle being different each time I make a new viewport. How can a synchronise these crops for each viewport? Quote Link to comment
station
if its a stacked viewport (like for different floors) I create the original viewport on a design layer (as a callout usually) and then copy and paste to the other design layer levels - it will come up with the option to 'create viewport in the Object Info. and it will create a viewport of identical size - you subsequently have the option to create instances of the callout in any other viewport If you just want the viewport crops to be identical sizes - it is just a rectangle so create one size and in each viewport crop paste it in hope that is what you were looking for. john Quote Link to comment
E|FA
I think you can also duplicate the first viewport and then edit the layer and class visibilities in the new viewport. 1 Quote Link to comment
station
that does work identically and can maintain class visibilities if they are consistent - just swap out the layer. If you have different class visibilities in a layer though pasting the callout in the layer carries the class visibility to the viewport. Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
If as @station says you want all 10 viewports to use the same crop, you should be able to crop one of them, edit the Crop Group, Copy the crop object, and then Paste In Place into the crop group of the other 9 viewports. There is no way to make multiple viewports use the same crop object. If you edit the crop you will have to redo the Copy/Paste in Place. Quote Link to comment
