techdef
Current Vectorworks, 2021 SP3: Create 3d viewport, double click to Annotations, draw dimensions. They're all showing as 50% the correct value? What did I screw up! Quote Link to comment
0 Andy Broomell
Measurable scale doesn't exist in perspective, so those dimensions won't ever work out the way you're expecting (Annotations is essentially a "flat" overlay that doesn't exist in the same 3D space as your model). To get the look you're going for where dimensions are in 3D, you'd have to dimension directly in the Design Layer. And if you need those dimensions to be visible or not visible in certain viewports, you could make additional dimension classes and turn them on and off as needed per viewport. A pain, but I think that's currently the only way to achieve this. Edited March 24, 2021 by Andy Broomell 1 Quote Link to comment
0 markdd
You can get meaningful dimensions in Viewports using Oblique Cavalier or Cabinet Perspectives, but they are more stylised approaches and probably not what you are looking for. 1 Quote Link to comment
