Popular Post Andy Broomell
I'm wondering if there's a way to disable (or delete) some of the default Resource Manager libraries such they no longer appear in search results. You can't just delete the file from your hard drive like you could back with the old Resource Browser, since they're now cloud-based. I've found there are some libraries that produce dozens and dozens of search results that just get in the way, and I'd love to simply turn those files off. Here are some files as an example: Another example would be disabling all of the Entertainment lighting fixture libraries, so I can search for "Light" without literally ten thousand results 🙂 6 Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
You can turn off all of the cloud libraries using the buttons at the top of the Resource Manager. Quote Link to comment

That would be absolutely great ! Or at least, like in iTunes, let us add 1-5 stars .... to not need to see the other 90% of library files we will never use. 2 Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
I don't think there's a way to selectively turn off the library parts Wes Quote Link to comment
zoomer
I would be ok with whole library files. Quote Link to comment

That would just disable ALL library content which is not really a desired solution. Also, I'm noticing those icons are kind of misleading. The cloud icon simply means "Premium Libraries" while the V icon means "Vectorworks Libraries" - but BOTH are libraries that are on the cloud by default, and download to your hard drive as needed. I think the only difference is that Premium Libraries are for folks with Service Select. Anyways, I'll probably file a VE for the ability to right click on any library file in the lefthand pane and choose "Exclude from search results" - or something like that. 9 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Rick Berge Posted July 9, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 9, 2021 It's an interesting VE. The devil will be in the details. If it's at the file or folder level, it will be hard to manage. Can't make the user need to re-do it every Service Pack, but probably every Release. Probably need a "reset" button somewhere obvious, that's also an indicator speciallized handling is going on. A different way to approach things would be to tag the lights you like with something like 'nonvw'. Then you can search on 'light nonvw' and get just what you want. Quote Link to comment
