OSX pallets

Since the windowshade is gone in OSX, how do you have multiple pallets active without closing and opening everytime you need one?

Will there be a 'diminish' button on an upgrade to 9.5.1?

The window shade functionality was a part of the Mac OS. I hear these rumors that apple will be reintroducing a lot of the classic Mac OS features into 10.2.

If system wide window shade functionality comes back, I'm sure we will do everything we can to use it.

Hey, you already took an extra effort to put this functionality on the Windows version(where it was inexistent on the platform), sowhy not consider doing the same to the MacOS X where it is currently unavailable (instead of waiting Apple to fix it) ?

On the other hand, adding a Zoom Buttom to the palettes window code would (so I was told) allow some third-party shareware to window-shade them. It would be a quick-fix avoiding the rewriting of this so much missed window-shade.

The point is we need window-shade badly.

Actually, the MFC API from Microsoft provided the window shade functionality for the windows version of VectorWorks.

I'm told by the guys in the back, that if Apple does not fix it in the near future, we will investigate what else we can do to bring this feature back.

There is a shareware ($7) called WindowShade X from Unsanity.com that returns this capability to OS X

I have not tried it with VWA (I'm at my day-job right now) but the d/l is free and works for an hour per session so you can check it out without paying - if it works with VWA (as it should) you can register it.It is rumored that WS will return with Jaguar if you can wait that long!

I haven't tried windowshade, but I heard it dosen't work on palettes, only document windows.
