Dill
I try to use the seeting assistant with a costum chair 2D/3D symbol. But it seems to be in a wrong orientation, as it is turned 90° to what it is supposed to. Is it possible to change the symbols orientation easily, without rotating both element (2D/3D), in the symbol editor? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted March 3, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 3, 2021 This depends on your seating section layout. When you create the seating section you define the direction the seats should face. You can change the "Angle of Seating" parameter to make the seats face a different direction. Depending on your layout you may be able to change the direction but if that does not solve your problem you will probably need to modify or duplicate and modify the symbol. All default content for use with the seating section is supplied with the seat facing to top of the page. 2 Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee TomWhiteLight Posted March 3, 2021 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 3, 2021 You can also change the Seating from standard to curved which might also be what you are after? This might help, https://university.vectorworks.net/mod/page/view.php?id=168 Quote Link to comment
Dill
Thank you guys, my issue is, that On 3/3/2021 at 6:37 PM, klinzey said: Depending on your layout you may be able to change the direction but if that does not solve your problem you will probably need to modify or duplicate and modify the symbol. The facing direction option might help in the simplest setup, but at little more complex ones like with shiftet rows or even different H and V distances between seats and rows, it would interfere.
