Editing molding/baseboards

Teenbe

Question

I've used the extrude along path method to add molding to my model, but I haven't figured out how to trim it away from doors and openings. From what I've gathered, I have to select a closed "path" and molding profile and then extrude along path.

Is there a different method for adding molding without having it blocking doorways and stair openings?

You can use 'Subtract Solids' to clip the skirting board where you've run it across the doorways. Or next time draw individual paths from doorway to doorway + extrude them separately rather than doing one single extrude for the whole room. you might extrude an architrave around the doors first then run the skirting up to the architrave
