Color name of fill in a data tag

Hi all,

 

Is it possible to get the color name of a fill in a data tag?

I don't see any way to get any attributes of an object into a data tag, so the answer is probably no.

 

Having and Attributes data set including Color names and line styles would probably be a good wish list item.

We name our materials that we put on objects by CSI codes and CSI divisions titles. We would like to be able to tag these fills in plan or sections and have it read the fill name, which would be the CSI code and division title. Is this at all possible? Or can the tag list out the "skins" or layers of components that make up a wall?
