I have a question along those lines outlined above. I teach VW as part of my set design course and over the past couple of years used VW2022, which is great. I have however heard of a few interesting changes, that came in with the 2024 version, via Jonathan Reeves' tutorials on Youtube. I wanted to try them out. They relate to the subdivision tool and sound useful. I downloaded the 2024 version but cannot seem to use my serial number from this year. Can a serial number only be used for one version and the uses has to stick to that version for the rest of the year. If that is the case, does this mean, I have to wait until when my year has elapsed and then change to 2024, also entailing I loose access to the 2022 version? Is that how it works? I'm trying to wrap my head around this. I think this didn't used to be this way as I remember using two versions simultenously and discussing with my students the improvements in the new version. Many thanks for any help.

Licenses (at least commercial, not positive about educational) are valid for the version available when issued and previous versions.

So if your license is only for 2022, I am not surprised it does not activate 2024.

Contact the Vectorworks Educational group and they should be able to get you a 2025 license that will also allow you to run the 2024 and 2022 versions.

But you have to contact VW directly. No one on this forum is going to be able to help.
