Door in Wall

I'm working on a tutorial video and have placed a door in a wall but it is not nesting in the wall nor is the OIP showing that its Door In Wall.  What setting do I have wrong?

Do you have Wall Insertion Mode enabled in the Door tool?

I thought about that but I saw in the screenshot that

Wall Insert Mode was already activated !?

I guess it was enabled for the Selection tool but not for the Door tool...?

You're right in screenshot @Landartma could have dragged the door away then dragged it back + it would have inserted...

One other trick about inserting things in walls is that it depends on where the tip of the cursor is.

 

If the tip of the cursor is over the wall then it inserts. If the tip of the cursor is not over the wall then it just places. 

 

This also occurs when moving symbols in walls. If you insert a door and then grab the swing and drag it, the door will pop out of the wall (no longer be a Door In Wall) because the cursor was not over the wall.

It was definitely off just for the door tool because I inserted a window just to test it and it worked fine.

 

To Pat's point the wall will highlight as well correct?
