WHY IS MY EXPORTED PDF LOOKING LIKE THIS

Question

THE WHITE SQUARE IS MY 81/2" X 11" SHEET LAYER - MY BOSS COULDNT PRINT SO EXPLODED IN ILLUSTRATOR- NOT SURE WHY HE'S GOT ALL OF THIS EXTRA INFO?

When I first started with vw I couldn't understand why some file sizes were so large, eventually I worked out that for some file types vw does not clip the data at the viewport, it keeps everything. At the time I was working with a large aerial, about 200Mb, my solution with that was to break it into tiles and put each tile in it's own class. IDK if that has changed as I'm still using 2012.

 

Also, what vw version are you using? - we had a theory that odd-numbered years were crap and judging by recent comments I'd say our theory holds.

By "Extra info" do you mean everything outside the 8 1/2 x 11 sheet?

If so, perhaps the Export PDF settings are set to "Current view" rather than "Export the whole printable area as one page".
